Malaysia GP: Tremendous Vettel wins in Malaysia!
An incredible performance from Sebastian Vettel resulted in his 40th career win, first win for the Scuderia in only his second race for the prancing horse!
Sebastian and Scuderia Ferrari produced a perfect strategy to overcome Mercedes, and an early pit-stop from the Champions following a safety car would prove very costly. In the end, Vettel was P1 ahead of Hamilton and Rosberg.
It was overall absolutely fabulous racing in the Sepang International Circuit: close, different strategies, punctures, safety car, spins, and so much more.
Kimi Raikkonen finished fourth after a super race following a P11 start and an early puncture, dropping back to last place and even completing a lap with only three wheels! Pastor Maldonado also had a puncture, but the Venezuelan would end up retiring.
Also retiring were both McLarens following a power loss, and Marcus Ericsson early on, which would be the cause for the only safety car of the race. With these retirements, Manor's Roberto Merhi finished the race P15.
Toro Rosso's Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz also deserve a mention, finishing P7 and P8 after great racing from their part, and finishing ahead of Red Bull Racing. With that seventh place, Max became the youngest points scorer in F1 history.
