Susie Wolff set to drive in Spanish GP Friday practice

Williams test driver Susie Wolff will run in Friday practice for the upcoming Spanish GP at the circuit in Barcelona-Catalunya.

Wolff participated in Friday practice sessions last year in Britain and Germany, making her the only female driver to take part in a grand prix weekend since 1992. She is now joined by the Lotus appointed development driver Carmen Jorda as the only two female test drivers for 2015.

Wolff did suffer a “disappointing” moment this year when the team confirmed Adrian Sutil as test driver and as Bottas’s replacement if necessary for the Malaysia GP. However, now an excited Susie Wolff can rejoice at another opportunity to drive the FW37 in the first practice session at next week’s Spanish GP.

"This time next week...Can't wait to drive the #FW37 again. #FP1 #Barcelona #WeAreRacing," she tweeted.
